This post wont be for everyone. Just ones who have been in the business for long enough.
How many times now have you been hired to re-design a company's website and they don't have any copy/version of their logo or identity other than the low quality .gif they are currently using on their website? It has happened to me A LOT. I don't understand this.......
Maybe people designing these logo's all day fail to tell them, "hey this .ai or .eps file IS important and you will want to hang onto it, and make a backup copy."
I'm just getting really sick of having to re-create logos all the time. Someone should start a company just re-making logos for people when they delete it. I know I charge for it when I have to do it.
Anyway's that's my rant.......

Agreed! Yeah, this happens to me frequenly, as well. I work in the apparel industry and we have to recreate a logo AT LEAST once a week, if not several times. Pretty annoying stuff! |
